Radford University Fall Homecoming Weekend 2015!

The Office of Alumni Relations is in the process of planning the weekend's schedule of events. Check back often for updates!

Alumni Homecoming Check-in
Hurlburt Student Center Lobby
All alumni and friends can check in with the Office of Alumni Relations to receive your weekend information packet filled with a schedule of events and to ask questions. Alumni will also receive an official "Radford University Alumni" button for the weekend.

Radford University Campus Tour *
Martin Hall, Suite 107
Guests who would like to participate in an admissions information session prior to the tour, please arrive at 1:30 p.m.

2 - 3 p.m.
Recreation and Wellness Center Tours *
Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Welcome Desk
Take a tour through Radford’s newest building with over 115,000 square feet of healthy activity space for current students.

4:15 - 7:15 p.m.
Alumni Informal Dinner Option $
Dalton Dining Hall, $ Pay at the door
Alumni families and reunion groups can refuel from the road trip to Radford at Dalton Dining Hall. Dine early, dine late to experience the wonderful cuisine options that the current students enjoy.

Show times are 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Pick up free tickets to the show at the Hurlburt Student Center Information Desk. Space is limited.

2 - 5 p.m.
Alumni and Family Village *
Moffett Lawn (Rain or Shine)
All alumni and reunions will celebrate the weekend at the Alumni Village, the largest weekend event!

Featured events include:
•    The main tent will include dance music from alumnus DJ Shock, food, interact with your college dean and serve as a meeting point for the class of 1990.
•    Lacrosse Alumni Game – Bring your chairs or sit on Moffett lawn to cheer on our alumni as they take to the field.
•    Chariot Races – The return of the Greek chariots races for the special halftime program. Bring your coins and vote for your favorite Greek chariot design. All proceeds will be donated to the RU Greek Scholarship Fund.
•    Parade of Tents – Who will have the best decorated tent and take home the 2015 Highlander Spirit Rock? Affinity student groups can request a small tent, table and chairs to decorate and showcase their school spirit for their returning alumni/parents. The Highlander Spirit Rock will be presented at halftime to the winner. Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 1-888-478-4723 to reserve your spot.

The Class of 1965 and all previous golden years will have a special dinner to celebrate their time at Radford. Classmates will reconnect, induct the newest class into the golden circle and share their favorite Radford tales.

Keep the weekend celebration going late-night as RU alumni and friends gather at their favorite Radford restaurant. Vote online for your favorite hangout!

Q: When will I hear more about the Fall Alumni Homecoming?
A: You will receive monthly email communications that will highlight events throughout the weekend. You can also check www.radford.edu/alumni for the most current schedule of events.
Q: How can I register for the Fall Alumni Homecoming?
A: You can register by mail, phone or online.
Q: When should I arrive?
A: Fall Alumni Homecoming is a three day event, Friday - Sunday. You can arrive Friday afternoon to enjoy all the weekend festivities or on Saturday for specific events of interest.
Q: Who else will be there?
A: All alumni are encouraged to attend the weekend festivities. The classes of 1958, 1960, 1965, and 1990 will be celebrating reunions along with many affinity groups. Some activities will be special to reunion classes, while other events will be open for all to enjoy.

Area Lodging
Room blocks have been reserved at several area hotels. Most room blocks will expire in September 2015, so please join our alumni Facebook page "Radford University Alumni Association" to get the special block codes. Please note the Class of 1958, 1960 and 1965 host hotel is the Comfort Inn (540) 639-3333.
