The university strives to provide an educational environment conducive to student learning and development and has a duty to protect its educational purpose by setting standards of scholarship and conduct. The guiding principle of university regulations is to promote student responsibility and accountability while protecting the community as a whole. Students have the responsibility to follow all regulations outlined in this policy. Radford University likewise has the responsibility to provide a student conduct process that is:
- Free from discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, national origin, religion or political affiliation;
- fundamentally fair; and
- inclusive of the option for a hearing and an appeal, as outlined in this policy.
