(The application will close at that point for that particular term, but you may still apply for admission for a later term.)

APPLICATION FEE - Requires a nonrefundable application fee of $50; $25 for non-degree enrollment.
SUPPORTING MATERIALS – Carefully read the online instructions prior to beginning the online application to ensure completeness of your application.
PLEASE TYPE OR PRINT CLEARLY - On supplemental application materials being mailed in, please use black or blue ink and avoid using staples.
TEST SCORES – Official scores (TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, GMAT, MAT) must be submitted directly to the Graduate College from the testing services. Unofficial test scores and transcripts will not be accepted. Please use ETS code 5565 to submit your official test scores to the Graduate College. (Communication Sciences and Disorders applicants, please use GRE ETS code 0170; Physical Therapy applicants, please use GRE ETS code 0373.)
RECOMMENDATIONS – For degree seeking students, at least two RU recommendation forms are required. Some programs require three. You will have the opportunity to request recommendations online through with the submission of your online application. If you are not using the online recommendations available through the online application and your recommendations are sent back to you, do not open them. Hardcopy recommendations must remain in their original sealed envelopes, with signature of the reference across the seal, to be submitted with your application. Hardcopy recommendations may be forwarded directly to Graduate Admissions. Recommendations are not required for non-degree seeking applicants. Post-baccalaureate certificate requirements vary and some do request the submission of letters of recommendations. Applicants for initial teaching licensure are required to submit three recommendations.
TRANSCRIPTS – Request official transcripts from the registrar of each college or university you’ve attended. For applicants who are graduates of Radford University, only transcripts for post-baccalaureate course work taken elsewhere need to be sent. If the official transcripts are sent to you do not open them. They must remain in their original sealed envelope from the registrar to be submitted with your application. Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded to your online application and may be used by the department for consideration for admission.
RESIDENCY – All Virginia residents must complete the application for in-state tuition. If you are a non-Virginia resident and wish to apply for residency, you will also need to complete the application for in-state tuition. Applications must be received prior to the first day of classes in order to be eligible to receive in-state residency for a given term.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS – A minimum score on an English proficiency exam is required for all international applicants who attended an undergraduate institution where the primary language of instruction was not English. Official TOEFL or IELTS scores are accepted. A minimum IELTS band score of 6.5 or TOEFL internet-based score of 79 or 80 or paper-based score of 550 must be achieved in order to be considered for admission. Additional documentation of financial ability is also required (see the Graduate Catalog or call Graduate Admissions for information).
TYPE OF ADMISSION – There are five types of admission: Degree Seeking, Degree Seeking and Post-Baccalaureate Certificate, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate, Initial Teacher Licensure, and Non-Degree Seeking.
