Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Radford's D.N.P. program was recognized this year by U.S. News and World Report in the magazine's inaugural Top Online Education Program Rankings.     On November 29th through December 1st, the Department of Music at Radford University will host the 6th Annual Tri-State Chamber Winds Festival. Under the direction of RU Director of Bands Dr. Wayne Gallops, the event will feature RU Applied Wind Faculty and students, along with select high school students from Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia. The RU Faculty Chamber Winds and the University Wind Ensemble will open the festival in concert at 8 pm on Thursday, December 1st in the Performance Hall in the Covington Center at Radford University. The RU Concert Jazz Ensemble performs on Friday evening, November 30th at 8pm. High School student participants will be featured in concert on Saturday, December 1st at 1pm.     The Department of Music presents the annual holiday Madrigal Dinner Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 at 6pm. One of the most highly anticipated events of the visual and performing arts season, the evening includes music by the RU Madrigal Singers and other entertainment. Tickets go on sale two weeks prior to the event and may be purchased online (visit or at the Hurlburt Hall Information Desk (540-831-5420), which will be closed the week of Thanksgiving. Due to the popularity of the dinner, early ticket purchase is encouraged. Admission is $30 general public and $25 with RU I.D. A two-ticket limit applies to those purchasing with an I.D.
