    Unpacking Identities: Exploring the Intersection between Gender and Sexual Orientation Presenters: Moira Baker, Professor, Department of English Joseph Jones, Assistant Professor, School of Teacher Education and Leadership Tracey Mattson, Director, Learning Assistance and Resource Center Moderator: Crasha V. Perkins, Director, Center for Diversity and Inclusion Diversity Dialogue will attempt to explore the intersection between gender & sexual orientation by addressing the following questions: -What are some salient issues when we explore the intersection between gender and sexual orientation? -How do other aspects of one's social identity (race, religion, class, ethnicity, ability) intersect with sexual orientation? -From your vantage point, what are the social justice issues embedded in this intersectionality? -As an academic community, how can we offer solutions at RU? All faculty, staff and administrators are invited and encouraged to come ready to engage in meaningful conversations revolved around unpacking identities. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch. Diversity Dialogue Diversity Dialogue, a monthly discussion group concerning various issues and concepts related to intercultural competency, particularly areas affecting learning, environments, will be held on the third Wednesday or Thursday of the month on the following date during Academic Year 2012-13: April 17.
