Rosato worked previously in marketing for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series where she learned about the foundation that helps give young cancer patients an enhanced quality of life and hope for a healthier future.
After meeting Jeff Gordon, Rosato, current vice president of sales and business development for marketing-services company Epsilon, was inspired to volunteer with the foundation "My involvement started in 2005 and grew into a personal focus that continues," Rosato said.
The organization's mission is to give young cancer patients an enhanced quality of life and hope for a healthier future. Gordon said there are more than 40,000 children in treatment for cancer today in the United States alone. "That means that we need to invest in critical research and ensure that these children are given support throughout their cancer journey," he said.
Rosato, who holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing, credits Radford University with giving her the financial and management knowledge she uses now as president of the Promise Circle, 30 women from across the nation who support the work of the Gordon Foundation.
