For those students who are interested in a career with wildlife, there are a variety of classes of interest. Classes on training, ecology of Virginia turtles, patient stabilization, treating contaminated birds, and a glimpse of wildlife rehabilitation in Africa are just a few of the many sessions that will be offered. Registration for students is $50 for one day, $80 for both days. The fee includes lunch, as well as tickets for a chance to win fabulous door prizes! Laken Cooper will talk about her research in Kenya and how it was funded, Crissey Spicher will speak about her summer internship with the NCIS, and Bekah Webster will talk about her art conservation internship at the MET. Each speaker will talk for roughly 5 minutes about their experience, how they found about it, and the application process. Then it will be an open discussion answering student questions, it will be informal.
