Radford University Career Services will host the annual Education Career Fair on Friday, February 28, 2014. The event is open to students, alumni and professionals interested in learning more about career oportunities in PK-12 education.
We welcome school districts and educational organizations to attend our Education Fair at Radford University. This is an excellent opportunity to meet our students, alumni and other professionals interested in working in the educational setting.
Recruit for full-time teaching positions and other school personnel at our 2014 Spring Education Career Fair. The fair is open in the morning as an information fair where schools will have the oportunity to meet and network with interested candidates. The second part of the fair will be for school districts and educational organizations wishing to interview candidates.
Register for the Education Career Fair in HireAHighlander. If you have participated in an event through Career Services before, you may log into your account and use the profile information that you entered previously. Otherwise, please create an account in HireAHighlander and then you can register for this event.
Registration Deadline and Fees:
The registration deadline is February 17th. Space is guaranteed only upon payment. Registration cancelled after February 7th is non-refundable. Payment can be paid by credit card or by check. Registration fee: $125.00 (to include 1 booth, 2 chairs, 1 recruiter, meal card for lunch, morning refreshments); $100.00 each additional booth; $25.00 each additional recruiter.
Visit with school districts seeking teaching candidates. Bring copies of your resume, dress professionally in business attire, and COME EARLY. Some school districts will be interviewing following the job fair. Whether you are just beginning or are soon to-be-graduate, the Education Career Fair is an excellent opportunity to learn more about education-related careers, gain networking skills, and make contact with employers! Attendance is free. For RU students it is advised to register in HireAHighlander and submit your resume. A resume booklet is being developed that will be sent to registered school districts and educational organizations.
Candidates in all areas of PK-12 education, including speech-language pathology, special education, school social work, counseling, administration and school psychology are welcome and encouraged to attend to explore job opportunities and to network with school administrators from more than 45 school districts from various locations.
