What made you decide to choose your major?
Orginally when I first started college, my major was Marketing. However, I later realized that based on my interests Finance was the best fit for me. I have always enjoyed working with numbers and money, and I like the flexibility that the Finance major offers.
What has been one of the most memorable experience you’ve had attending Radford University?
I have had many memorable experiences at Radford University, but one that stands out is when I first decided to come here and attended Quest. When I attended Quest I really didn't know anyone, but everyone was so welcoming and helpful that I didn't feel like an outsider. My tour guide even ended up becoming one of my friends while she attended Radford University. This experience made me realize that I had chosen the right school.
What advice would you give to others to help them succeed?
The advice that I would give is to be determined and stay focused on your goals. Also, while it is important to work hard, it is also important to remember to have fun and enjoy the journey. What seems like the end of the world one day will eventually work out in the end.
What are your career goals?
Currently, I am exploring career opportunities in financial planning, working with loans, and retirement planning. My longterm goal is to eventually start my own organization that rescues animals and saves the number of animals euthanized. How has your undergraduate experience prepared you to achieve these goals? My undergraduate experience has given me not only skills for the workplace, but also life skills. It has also shown me that I can achieve anything with self-determination.
