Center for Assessment and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS Director:
Dr. Jennifer Mabry
Licensed School Psychologist

Welcome to the Center for Assessment and Psychological Services (CAPS). We provide consultation, assessment, and evidence-based intervention services across the lifespan to individuals, couples, families, organizations, and school districts.  CAPS serves children and adults living in Southwest Virginia as well as those associated with Radford University (student/faculty/staff). In addition, CAPS fulfills a training mission to serve as a training center for students enrolled in graduate psychology programs at Radford University.  A clinical team approach is utilized that enables advanced level graduate students to serve as clinicians providing direct services under the close supervision of qualified and licensed psychology faculty members.

For services, walk in during office hours or call 540-831-5019, or email caps@radford.edu (email link) to set up an initial or appointment.  We will require you to fill out a referral form. Please let us know the best times and best way to contact you (phone or email).  Please do not provide confidential information over email. Please bring with you any medical, psychological, or educational evaluation reports/documents that might assist us in planning your services. A sliding fee scale is available based on client’s ability to pay.  Sliding scale fees range from $300-$600 for a comprehensive assessment battery and $10-$90 for each intervention/therapy session. The client is expected to pay CAPS directly in cash or check.  CAPS does not accept third party benefits (e.g., payment by an insurance company, Medicaid).
