Families, friends and guests are an integral part of commencement day celebrations for Radford University students. Visitors for commencement day are encouraged to read the following information in order to know what to expect on your students big day.
Schedule of Events
Please review the Commencement Weekend Schedule of Events to plan your weekend activities. In doing so, remember that while start-times are firm, it is difficult to anticipate when events will end. It is a good idea to remain as flexible as possible and leave a sufficient time buffer in scheduling post-graduation festivities.
A professional photographer will photograph each graduate as they cross the stage at the individual college ceremonies and the hooding ceremony. Proofs and order forms will be mailed to each graduate after the event.
The main ceremony will be streamed live on the Radford University website. On the day of ceremony, visit www.radford.edu to find a link to the live stream. Additionally, the main ceremony will be broadcast on Public Radio WVRU, 89.9 FM.
We are all keeping our fingers crossed that commencement day will be a spectacular day with beautiful blue skies and temperatures in the mid-70s; however, even if the weather does not cooperate with our plans, we want to be sure that your day is still spectacular!
In the event of inclement weather, an alternate schedule will be implemented for the May 10 commencement ceremonies.
