The main ceremony is for all graduates. True to Highlander tradition, Virginia Highlands Pipes and Drums will lead the procession of candidates, faculty and platform party into the ceremony.

10:30 a.m. | Commencement Ceremony
Location: Moffett Lawn
The main ceremony is for all graduates. The culminating event of the ceremony will be the conferring of degrees by President Penelope W. Kyle. The Virginia Highlands Pipes and Drums also lead the recessional when the new graduates are about to go out into the world and follow in the footsteps of over 65,000 individuals who are proud to call themselves Radford University alumni.

Seating for friends and families at the main ceremony is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The concert band will begin at 9:30 a.m. for your enjoyment. When the ceremony begins, in consideration of others, you are asked to remain seated. We also ask that you limit photography and remain behind the cords.

The college ceremonies provide an opportunity for each graduate to be recognized individually, process across the stage, shake hands, and receive best wishes from the college dean and faculty. A professional photographer will also capture the moment. Proofs and order forms will be mailed to graduates. If you are unsure which college ceremony to attend, refer to the list of majors.
