STAT 200	Introduction to Statistics	Three hours lecture. Introduction to statistical methods; descriptive statistics, normal distribution, estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation and regression. Will not satisfy requirements for major in mathematics. Students may not receive credit for both STAT 219 and STAT 200.
STAT 219	Statistics for Biology	Three hours lecture. This course is an introduction to statistical methods taught by embedding statistical language and methods into a biological context. Topics will include univariate and bivariate graphs; measures of average, dispersion, and position; estimation; hypothesis testing; correlation; regression; analysis of variance. Students may not receive credit for both STAT 219 and STAT 200.
