Students Participate in Virginia Wildlife Society Meeting

Seven members of the Radford University Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society (RUTWS) recently attended and actively participated in the annual conference of the Virginia Chapter of The Wildlife Society in Front Royal, VA. Three students (Tessa Canniff, Kaelin Creange, and Meghan Stump) gave presentations based on their summer research and environmental internships. Student Tessa Canniff was awarded second place (Best Student Presentation award) for her presentation, "Quantifying wing damage of summer bats in the northeastern United States." Canniff also was elected as the student representative to the state chapter - the first Radford University student to hold this position.
