The Radford University student chapter of The Wildlife Society held another successful Bioblitz in April. Natural history experts and professionals from Radford University, Virginia Tech, and the Virgina Master Naturalists came together to teach our students about a plethora of topics in field biology and geology. About 35 students and VirginiaMaster Naturalists took park in this one-day event. Students got the chance to catch, identify, and handle mice and salamanders, learn about the geology of sinkholes, echolocation in bats, and participate in an early morning bird walk.
