Senior John Huth wins wildlife scholarship
Senior John Huth is the 2013 winner of a wildlife scholarship from the Virginia Chapter of The Wildlife Society. The "Excellence in Wildlife Stewardship through Science and Education" scholarship is a $500 award granted to just one junior or senior enrolled at a Virginia college or university. The purpose of the scholarship is to reward a student who has the potential to make significant contributions to the field of wildlife management.
John also presented his research at this wildlife conference, entitled "Surveys for northern bobwhite and sympatric bird species at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant."
This is the second year in a row that a student from Radford University has been awarded this scholarship. Senior Kelsey Townsend won it in 2012.
