The Wildlife Society hosts quail presentation
The student chapters of The Wildlife Society from Radford University and Virginia Tech co-sponsored a presentation of the movie "Bobwhites on the Brink." This was followed by a presentation from Private Lands Biologists from the state and from local landowners active in bobwhite quail restoration.
About 50 people attended this presentation, which was hosted in the Planetarium. The goal was to educate the students and the general public about the plight of the bobwhite quail - a species that is a target for many state- and federally-funded restoration efforts.
