Chris Lively is a ceramic artist creating wheel-thrown functional ceramics with porcelain.  He earned his Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in ceramics from Radford University.  He currently teaches 3D Foundations at Radford University.   Chris chooses to work in clay because “each time that I work it is always new and different. I’m always thinking what if I push this a little further and get the most out of the clay. I want my work to reflect this energy and show my excitement I have for this medium.”  Chris has exhibited work from North Carolina to California and has been published in books and magazines. He won “Best in Show” at the Teabowl National Juried show in Kansas City, Missouri. Chris’ work has also been juried in exhibits such as “Strictly Functional Pottery National” and “Feats of Clay.”
