Assistant Professor of Dance
Full-time Tenure Track Position beginning August 10, 2016
Position: The Department of Dance announces a full-time tenure track position beginning August 10, 2016.
Qualifications: MFA or PhD in dance, three years experience in undergraduate teaching, and choreography. Applicants must be competent to teach all levels of modern technique. Teaching responsibilities will also include some dance theory, possibly pedagogy and Accompaniment for Movement. Ability to teach world dance forms is highly desirable. Experience with NASD accreditation and assessment is preferred. Will choreograph for main stage productions and supervise student choreography projects.

The Department of Dance provides a comprehensive undergraduate dance education that equally emphasizes proficiency in both modern and ballet technique. Degrees offered include a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, and a Bachelor of Science in Dance with K-12 teacher licensure as well as a minor in dance.
