Departmental Administrative Assistant
Office Manager (reception, records, class scheduling, appointment scheduling, data collection/analysis, research and inventory) and primary point of contact for division information; manage multiple division/grant budgets; manage dance production preparation (contracts, payment, travel i.e. meals, transportation, lodging). Accurately prepare quote/purchase requests, reconciliation of division card purchases/payments; process all division expenditures. Supervise student workers. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of general office practice and procedures. Abiltiy to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and creatively solve problems. Knowledge of modern office equipment, troubleshooting, practices, and procedures. Experience providing programmatic and/or administrative support in an academic and professional environment. Strong fiscal/bookkeeping experience. Demonstrated ability to use various computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, financial/accounting software and email. Ability to work with confidential information. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate well with a variety of people.
Managerial experience, knowledge of Banner, eVA, Cognos and EPAF preferred. Working knowledge of university policies and procedures related to the fiscal process.
Associates degree in business related field or equivalent education, experience or training preferred.
