Maymester in Greece!

Study Abroad with CVPA in Greece

Radford University professor Dr. Steve Arbury will be leading a trip to Greece during Maymester 2013. The trip will run May 14 - 30 (dates subject to change).  Not only is the trip open to all majors, but students that are selected to participate will be able to earn college credit as well (CVPA 266, ART 366, ART 666).

The trip will take students to the islands of Crete, the famous Acropolis in Athens, the sanctuary at Delphi, the site of the ancient Olympics at Olympia, and many other great places!

Many past participants have given post-trip testimonials encouraging any students that may be interested to take advantage of this program.

“The study abroad trip that I took to Greece in the summer of 2009 is one of the highlights when I reflect back on my college career. Traveling abroad is a learning experience that no classroom could ever compare to. It's a completely different experience to physically be in a place you're studying and to see and experience the material firsthand. Greece was an incredible learning experience not only because of the historical architecture and art, but also due to the stellar leadership and knowledge of the professor. I would highly encourage any student, regardless of major, to seriously consider taking this course and embark on this unforgettable adventure,” Radford University Alumnus Ashlee Behr said.

An information session on the study abroad program will be held Wednesday, October 10, at 7:30 p.m., in 208 Porterfield Hall. If you are unable to attend the interest meeting or have other questions, please email Dr. Steve Arbury. The costs for the trip, photo galleries, and application can be found at the Study Abroad in Greece site.
