CVPA Creative Arts Week Events 2013
Radford University's 2013 Creative Arts Week is here. Though this week is a RU Student Activities extravaganza with several colleges and departments participating, the College of Visual and Performing Arts invites students, faculty and staff, and the community to participate and attend the following events:
Ongoing for the week
Stop by the CVPA Communications Office at Porterfield 237 for a free “Be Illuminated” calendar and CVPA 2013-14 schedule.
Art
Lucio Boschi: Andean Lives – 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays and 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekends at the RU Art Museum at the Covington Center
Beyond the Tartan: Suzanne Guppy Art Show (RU alumnae) – 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays at Gallery 205 in Porterfield Hall
Dance
Dance faculty and students will be presenting spontaneous “dance events” all over campus for the entire week.
Interior Design & Fashion
Positive and Negative Space: ID&F Display Windows. Showcases adjacent to the Department of Interior Design and Fashion main office at 210 McGuffey Hall feature displays created by students in the visual merchandising class.

The Art Adjunct Faculty Show opens at the RU Art Museum at the Bondurant Center Downtown. The exhibit runs from October 3 to November 3. Reception starts at 5:00 p.m.
Music
Master Class with Guest Artist –Jason Vieaux, Solo Guitarist – 11:00 a.m. at the Performance Hall of the Covington Center. Come in and sit in on world-class guitarist Jason Vieaux as he teaches Radford University guitar students.
