  1. Bill Wightman: Beyond the Tartan Art Exhibit »

    Although many of the works in Bill Wightman's Radford University alumnus exhibition are intentionally playful, often behind or beyond this sense of play lie other realms of exploration. For example, in the body of work entitled “Careers I’ll Never Have," the images of Wightman as a professional working in a variety of settings explore his self-realized limitations, whether they be aptitude, abilities, resources, etc. The “faked” scenes also intend to address our own instances of fakery when convincing others of our expertise, skills, etc.

  4. A Musical Gathering – Youngmi Kim, Voice Faculty Recital »

    7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. @ Performance Hall in the Covington Center

    Radford University’s Youngmi Kim, assistant professor of music, presents her faculty voice recital, which also features musicians from both RU faculty and the local community. Selections include Vivaldi's “Motet Nulla In Mundo Pax Sincera,” Bishop's "Lo, Here the Gentle Lark," Nicolai’s “Variazioni Concertanti” for soprano, clarinet and piano from Bellini’s "La Sonnamnbula," and Korean songs. Musicians include David Allen (clarinet), Judy Bevans (harpsichord), Lisa DeVries (viola), Alistair Leon Kok (violin), Lisa Liske-Doorandish (cello), Emily Reisinger (violin), Erica Sipes (piano), and Peter Shanahan (flute).
