Federal Programs

Teach Grant

A federal grant program for student's who intend to teach in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves students from low income families in a high need teach field.  The grant is awarded to students who apply (by completing the FAFSA and RU application) and meet the defined program requirements.  If you are awarded a TEACH Grant and switch majors or do not complete the service requirements the grant will become a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan and subject to all standard repayment obligations.

State Programs

Mary Marshall Nursing Scholarship

A scholarship provided by the Virginia Department of Health for Virginia residents in eligible nursing majors.  The application must be completed with Virginia Department of Health by the application deadline.  If selected as a scholarship recipient you agree to be employeed full time in nursing practice in the state of Virginia for one month for every $100 received.

Institutional Programs

Foundation Scholarships

The Radford University Foundation has numerous partial scholarships that are awarded each academic year.  These scholarships are based on factors such as hometown location, major, and merit.  Upper class students are invited to apply for these scholarships during the spring semester and they will be awarded for the upcoming academic year.
