Welcome Week at Radford University is packed with activities, including educational sessions, entertainment, social events, movies and opportunities to explore campus. Plan to attend the week’s events and get to know RU and your fellow classmates!
Welcome Week typically includes concerts, movies, outdoor activities and more. A full schedule of events will be posted this summer.
Below are some of the highlights of opening weekend.
Friday, Aug. 23
Move In | 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
New freshmen and transfer students will move into their residence halls. Volunteers will be on hand from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to help transport your belongings to your room. More detailed information will be sent to residence hall students in August.
Class Photo | 7 p.m. | Location TBD
Assemble with your classmates for a class photo (and free T-shirt)!
RU Ready Bash | 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. | Hurlburt Student Center
Free activities, music and food samples.
Sunday, Aug. 25
Convocation | 7 p.m. | Bondurant Auditorium
Start your academic year right with a fun and inspirational convocation message. Ben Nemtin and Duncan Penn, part of the cast of MTV's "The Buried Life" will present "What do you want to do before you die?" Their message will be followed by an opportunity to meet the stars and get an autograph.
