Blending a unique combination of improvisational comedy, education and audience participation, "Sex Signals" provides a provocative, in-your-face look at issues surrounding dating, sex and date rape on college campuses.
Through the use of humor, the show explores how mixed messages, gender role stereotypes and unrealistic fantasies contribute to misunderstandings between the sexes. Students are thus engaged in a candid discussion on dating and the realities of date rape as they are challenged to provide solutions that will better improve communications in interpersonal relationships. All of the performers have extensive training in interactive theater and sexual assault education.
Since the program's inception in 2000, Sex Signals has performed over 1000 shows at over 400 colleges and universities, making it one of the country's most popular lecture programs.
Sex Signals has visited our campus several times and has proved incredibly popular. This is why there are two performances. We have also made this a ticketed event. You may pick up your free ticket until 5PM the day of each show. You must arrive at the auditorium by 6:40PM in order to guarantee entrance into that evening's performance. If you arrive after 6:40PM, even with a ticket, you will join the rear of the line of non-ticket holders, and admittance will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
