The Scholar-Citizen Initiative, or "SCI" (pronounced "sky"), is stewarded by a Director who works in partnership with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students who form the Steering Committee, Advisory Council, and Scholar-Citizen Faculty.
The Scholar-Citizen Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations and implementation of the initiative. The Director is a full-time faculty member and recieves course releases and a summer stipend.

SCI Steering Committee members are responsible for stewarding specific aspects of the Scholar-Citizen Initiative and for acting as a SCI ambassador to their college or unit. Please consult the Steering Committee Directory to contact your college's or division's Steering Committee representative or to consult on specific aspects of the SCI, including: course proposals, co-curricular proposals, the Highlander in Action Program, ePortfolio resources, assessment resources and requirements, and faculty development opportunities.
The Advisory Council is constituted of individuals – faculty and staff – with experience, knowledge, and/or expertise relevant to the Scholar-Citizen initiative. Members of the Council have agreed to act as consultants and liaisons as the SCI continues to evolve and different aspects of the initiative are brought online.
