An academic project will be designated SCI and count as SC credit for Scholar-Citizen Fellows if:
- The project meets and measures student learning related to one Scholar-Citizen learning outcome,
- The student’s faculty advisor collects the resultant student work and submits it to the Office of Academic Assessment, and
- The project engages students in reflective practices and hands-on learning experiences that may happen outside the classroom.
Assessment and Research
In order to measure the impact of SCI academic experiences over time on student learning and psycho-social development, faculty and academic project supervisors must agree to participate in ongoing assessment practices including survey research and collection of student works.
