    In addition to being tapped as one of this year’s Colleges of Distinction by the national guide for college-bound students, Radford University was also cited as one of the best public schools in Virginia. It received accolades for its undergraduate programs in business, education and nursing and for its student support services for career development and military personnel.

    The business course curriculum, launched this year, revolves around the planning and coordination of a large-scale esports event. On April 25, the students held a gaming tournament at Cook Hall that was watched by more than 140 viewers and involved 15 live competitors.

    Soon after she earned her theater degree, Lauren Faulkner ’15 headed for the West Coast to try to break into the entertainment industry. Since then, the young actor has made steady progress onstage and in shorts and recently appeared in her second feature film, “Spring Break Nightmare,” now showing on the Lifetime Movie Network.
