Beyond the Candy Cane: Religion, Holidays and Diversity
Thursday Nov 15
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Bonnie Hurlburt Center, Room 248
As the holidays approach, we are overwhelmed with religious and cultural images. Knowing that our nation observes many beliefs and holidays, we invite you to explore how religion shapes social norms and practices. The next Diversity Dialogue for faculty, staff and administrators will focus on how the nation can honor diverse religious and spiritual beliefs and practices. Participants may bring their own lunches.
Presenter: Associate Professor Carter Turner, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies
Moderator: Associate Professor Gaston Dembele, College of Education and Human Development
