    Melissa Stallard’s work examines the cultural landscape throughout the Southeastern and Midwestern parts of the United States. Her work has been exhibited nationally including solo exhibitions and as part of the Compé 13: International Photography Exhibition at Project Basho in Philadelphia. Most recently, her work has been featured online in The Oxford American’s "Eyes on The South" and as part of FotoFilmic’s Artist Feature. Stallard is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the photography program at the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art at The University of Akron. Gallery is closed between noon and 1 p.m.

    Produced and directed by Radford University students, the Student Choreography Showcase features original work by promising choreographers. These up and coming artists have the opportunity to present their pieces in the Albig Studio Theatre -- an intimate performance space located in Peters Hall. Following the concert is a “Talk Back” where audience members have the chance to dialogue with the student choreographers and dancers about their craft.

    Dr. R. Wayne Gallops, conductor Brandon Alford, graduate conducting assistant Janet Longerbeam, graduate conducting assistant WILLIAM BYRD HIGH SCHOOL SYMPHONIC BAND Daniel Plybon, guest conductor The University Symphonic Band under the direction of Dr. Wayne Gallops and graduate conductor Brandon Alford will present a joint concert with the William Byrd High School Symphonic Band (Roanoke, VA), and their conductor Mr. Dan Plybon. A variety of symphonic and popular works will be featured on this concert.
