DenBoer will begin serving in his new role July 1, 2022.

Radford University hosted a two-day James Webb Telescope Community Event on campus June 10 and 11 in the Center for the Sciences that offered fun, games and plenty of learning opportunities for science enthusiasts of all ages. 

Before his retirement in December, Bruce Chase, Ph.D., CPA, taught accounting at Radford University for nearly 30 years. He also founded numerous important initiatives for the business college, such as the Governmental and Nonprofit Assistance Center, the Virginia Government Finance Officers/Radford University Certificate Program and the student employment exposition known as Firm Night.

Radford University has been named a College of Distinction for 2022-2023 for its commitment to empowering students’ success through engagement, innovation and support as they follow their educational paths. Radford’s academic programs in business, education and nursing were also singled out for individual recognition, along with student support services for career development and military support.

Caulder, a native of Wilmington, North Carolina, will also join Radford as a professor of music. A classical oboist, she previously taught music at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 2020, she received the Distinguished Faculty Award in creative arts at IUP, where she served as both chair of the Department of Music and coordinator of graduate studies.

Two Radford University students have been awarded the U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to apply toward their study abroad programs this summer and fall in France.

Radford University’s Board of Visitors Executive Committee approved tuition and fee rates for the 2022-2023 academic year for main campus and Radford University Carilion (RUC) at a special meeting on June 13, 2022.

The Radford University School of Nursing has partnered with Universal Health Corp. to provide clinical placements and hours for graduate students enrolled in the Family Nurse Practitioner programs (M.S.N. and D.N.P.). The collaboration will provide opportunities for Family Nurse Practitioner students to obtain clinical experience at Universal Health locations across Virginia.
