Professor Tod Burke receives Legion of Honor

Radford University faculty member Tod Burke has received the Legion of Honor, the highest award bestowed by DeMolay International, a leadership organization for young men ages 12 to 21. Burke has been a life-long member of the organization, first as a participant and later as a Senior DeMolay advisor. His award recognizes his efforts to support Virginia DeMolay, which has often held its annual conclave at Radford University. With fellow faculty member Steve Owen (who is not a member of DeMolay), Burke has given a number of presentations for both the advisors and active DeMolays, on topics such as hazing and bullying. Owen received a "Medal of Appreciation" for his contributions. Both awards were conferred at the Melrose Masonic Lodge in Roanoke on Sunday, July 21, 2013.
