The Radford University Learning Assistance & Resource Center (LARC) is hiring tutors for the 2014-2015 school year.

The LARC strives to help all students achieve academic success in all disciplines. In individual or group tutoring sessions, students acquire support from College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) certified trained tutors.

Writing tutors aid students with writing assignments for any discipline. Math and science tutors help students understand formulas, grasp abstract concepts and reinforce problem solving skills.

Students can also improve and maximize their learning skills, reading comprehension and test taking strategies through one-on-one consultations. With a learner-centered approach, the LARC staff and tutors seek to meet each Radford University student’s academic needs.

Tutors are most needed in the following subjects for the upcoming year:

  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Chemistry (101/102/301/302)
  • Biology (104/131/132/231/232/334)
