U.S. Navy Concert Band to play at Radford University

On Wednesday, Feb. 5, Radford University will welcome the United States Navy Concert Band to Bondurant Auditorium in Preston Hall for a free public concert.

Since 1925, the U.S. Navy Concert Band has played throughout the United States in addition to performances at White House and Pentagon ceremonies in Washington, D.C. Their concerts offer patriotic, classical, martial and pops musical selections.

“We are pleased to have the Navy Concert Band perform at Radford University. Their reputation for excellence and musical discipline is an inspiration for our students,” said Dr. Wayne Gallops, director of bands in the department of music.

Free tickets are available at RU’s Bonnie Hurlburt Student Center and also online.  There is a limit of four per person. Tickets can be reserved online.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Ticket holders are asked to arrive and take their seats by 7:15 p.m. Those without tickets will be seated at 7:20 p.m.
