Radford University has been recognized among the best regional public universities in the U.S. News & World Report's "Best Colleges" 2015 rankings.

RU is ranked 34th overall on the publication's "Best Regional Universities – South" list, comprised of both public and private universities in the 12-state southern region. At 13th place, Radford University was also named as one of the publication’s top 15 public universities in the southern region.

"Radford University has come to be recognized as one of the top public universities in our region and U.S. News & World Report’s ranking is recognition of that achievement," said Radford University President Penelope W. Kyle. "RU’s hallmark is the close interaction between our faculty and our students, while simultaneously offering a high quality education that remains affordable to many students and their families. This announcement is additional acknowledgement of the unquestionable commitment we have to our students," added President Kyle.

U.S. News & World Report has also recognized RU in several previous publications during the last several years. RU appeared on the "Best Regional Universities - South" list in 2013-14, on a list of "Top Online Education Programs" for the Doctor of Nursing Practice program in 2012, and on a list of "Top Public Master's Universities in the South" from 2010-12.
