Radford University President Brian O. Hemphill has been traveling across Virginia, visiting with Highlander alumni.

His first stop was Reston, where close to 200 Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. alumni gathered to hear Hemphill's priorities for their alma mater’s future.

The following day, July 14, President Hemphill traveled to Richmond. There, he discussed with alumni his other initiatives, such as strategic enrollment growth, philanthropic support and the importance of economic and community partnerships.

“Radford University needs to become and be an economic driver and produce great graduates who contribute to the state,” Hemphill said.

President Hemphill continued his statewide alumni tour on July 19 in Virginia Beach. More than 160 alumni joined the conversation about the university’s future and their role in it. President Hemphill discussed his key initiatives to make Radford University an innovative premiere university with a focus on research and teaching in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
