MKTG 490: Marketing Internship
Prerequisites: Junior or senior standing, minimum GPA of 2.5 (cumulative) or 3.0 (major) and permission of the instructor
Credit Hours: (3)
Note: Can be repeated once for credit. May be used only once to satisify marketing elective credit. Specific requirements and objectives to be arranged.
A one semester program of work and study in the student's major area and/or career interest. Number of hours of work and grade for the work performed determined by the faculty member or members sponsoring the student.
Detailed Description of Content of the Course
Allows the student to work in an outside agency which is specifically linked to the student's career interests.
Detailed Description of Conduct of the Course
The course consists of outside employment related to the student's career interests.
Goals and Objectives of the Course
To demonstrate understanding of the chosen career field.
Assessment Measures
Assessment of the student's success is based primarily on a final report project and periodic meetings with faculty supervisor and organization supervisor. Marketing internships are taken for a letter grade.
