GEOS 480: Seminar (SS)

Prerequisite: Junior or senior standing, or permission of the instructor.

Credit Hours: (1-4)

Intensive study of a special field of geospatial science. Topics determined by instructors' and students' interests. May be taken maximum of three times for no more that nine semester hours of credit.

The course conduct will vary based on topic and instructor.

 

Goals and Objectives of the Course

Students will conduct an in-depth study of topics of interest to them and not available through standard course offerings.

 

Assessment Measures

Although assessment measures will vary from instructor to instructor and from topic to topic, in general student performance is judged on participation in discussions, on oral presentations and on written research reports. A final examination may or may not be part of the evaluation process.
