Approximately ten "mini-grants" of up to $500/each will be awarded during both the fall and spring semesters in order to support Scholar-Citizen learning activities and projects for not just courses but also for co-curricular programs that complement the Scholar-Citizen learning outcomes and/or program goals. These grants can helps students with projects and events that engage students with community and societal issues. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis while funds last.

Over the past few years, multiple RU students have participated in this program. SIP is the premier model for educating our next generation of social entrepreneurs. SIP brings together 25 undergraduate and graduate students for an intense summer institute in the DC Metro Region. Over the five weeks of the program, our cohort of 25 students will:
- Attend classes taught by 30 Guest Faculty
- Be mentored by 3 seasoned social entrepreneurs
- Complete 15 consulting projects for local organizations
