Jessica Frazelle, a senior biology and Spanish major, participated in a six-week immersive study abroad this summer in Spain. Frazelle would like to become an orthopedic surgeon and wants to use the Spanish language skills she gained through this experience to better communicate with her patients, both in practice and medical mission trips. She was able to travel to Spain through the Highlander in Action program, which directly supports students in their pursuit of transformative learning experiences.
