Veterans Student Organizations

VSO Logo

We are Radford University Veterans! This organization is a place where veterans, dependents, cadets and anyone else interested in the military can come together as a social community.

Our Mission:

  • Provide a social group to help veterans and their families adjust to academia
  • Promote Radford University spirit while maintaining a veteran fellowship
  • Provide valuable information to veterans
  • Assist with veteran integration on campus

Radford University’s Veterans Student Organization was established several years ago; however, due to the matriculation of the original officers the club had fallen to the wayside – it is time to change that! We would like to revamp this organization and make a social network for veterans and their families on campus. Though to do that we need YOUR HELP!

This organization cannot exist without student membership and participation. If you are interested in becoming a member of this organization or would like to learn more please email ruvets@radford.edu or visit the organization's webpage or through RUInvolved.

SALUTE Honor Society

SALUTE Honor Society

SALUTE Honor Society is a nationally recognized chapter of the National SALUTE Honor Society founded at Colorado State University.  We strive to recognize deserving military and veterans who maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.  We are also here to maintain a group of like minded and focused individuals for future networking.  For more information email the organization at salute@radford.edu or visit our Facebook page.

Warriors at RU

Warriors of RU

A new club is now available to military men and women on campus, Warriors of RU. The purpose of the organization is to give military oriented students the option to better themselves physically, build comradely, and make Radford University more military friendly. This club is still in its beginning stages but has already attracted the attention of a variety of students. However, Warriors of RU will need more members in order to reach its fullest potential.

So far, members of the club have been conducting daily physical training at Greenhill, usually at 1700. The exercises include a variety of methods including cross fit, swimming, trail running, MARSOC short cards, and other highly rigorous workouts.

If you are interested in this club, you are encouraged to contact the President, Ian Jennings.
