Vice President for Student Affairs
Irvin R. Clark, Ed.D is a native Floridian (Quincy) who joined the Radford University community in October 2013 as the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students. On August 1, 2016, Dr. Clark assumed the duties of Interim Vice President of Student Affairs.
Prior to coming to Radford University, Dr. Clark served Savannah State University as Defensive Line Coach/Residence Director from 5/93 to 11/97; the Director of Residential Services & Programs position from 11/97 to 8/04; Interim Vice President for Student Affairs position from 12/02 to 7/03; Interim Director of Athletics from 2/04 to 8/04; and Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs from 8/04 to 12/06; Associate Vice President for Student Affairs from 1/07 to 12/08; and Vice President for Student Affairs from 1/09 to 4/13. Prior to his long tenure at Savannah State University, Irvin played professional football for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a defensive lineman (91 season) and served in the U.S. Navy (83-87).
Dr. Clark has two children – Edmond Clark (19 – college rising sophomore at York University, Toronto Canada) and Isabelle Clark (15 – high school rising junior Miami Arts Charter School Miami, Florida).
Dr. Clark received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida A&M University (1991), his Masters of Public Administration from Savannah State University (1999) and the Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership & Change from The Fielding Graduate University (2003).
