Position Description:
The Department of Economics of the College of Business and Economics at Radford University invites applicants for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Economics beginning in August, 2013.
Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate principles courses and applied courses in the applicant’s specialization. Preference would be given to those applicants with quantitative or analytical skills, those with and an interest in technological change (innovation and invention), or those with and interest in economic history. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Economics or be completing the degree requirements before August 2013. For those satisfying the research requirement, the teaching load is three courses per semester. Commitment to superior teaching is required. The College of Business and Economics is AACSB accredited; applicants should be able to demonstrate that they are academically qualified (based on their research and doctorate degree).

Radford University has an opening for a Director of a new applied Doctoral Program in Education for School and Community Change. The doctoral program will prepare those who wish to advance as educators and educational and community leaders in diverse settings for work in K-12 education, higher education, and community service fields. Position Description:
Assistant Professor/Athletic Training
Radford University and the Department of Exercise, Sport, and Health Education are seeking qualified candidates to fill a newly created tenure-track faculty position in Athletic Training. This position will require teaching, research and university service. The person filling the position will: 1) teach athletic training coursework, which may include but is not limited to, evaluation of athletic injuries, therapeutic modalities, therapeutic exercise, athletic training skill assessment and/or first aid/CPR. Teaching assignments will be based upon candidate expertise as well as the needs of the department. 2) advise and mentor students matriculating through the ATEP program and 3) assist the Athletic Training Education Program Director in the development and/or revision of the ATEP curriculum and other accreditation efforts.
The qualifications for this position are a doctoral degree (ABD will be considered) in Athletic Training or a related field, and three years of professional experience as a certified athletic trainer (above and beyond a graduate assistant level). Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Virginia. Evidence of successful teaching in a CAATE accredited curriculum and First Aid/CPR instructor certification are highly desirable.

NURSING: Radford University requests applications/nominations for a dynamic nurse leader for Director of the School of Nursing (SON), a 12-month, tenure-track appointment beginning August 10, 2013.
