MFA Graduation Exhibition featuring Ryan Fletcher
Friday Nov 2 - Friday Nov 16
All day
Radford University Art Museum at the Covington Center
Opening Reception 11/2 at 5pm
Ryan T. Fletcher's abstract work is an animated representation of emotions and feelings. Working large and small, the swirling hieroglyphic forms in his paintings follow his thoughts and physical movement into a personally expressive realm of art. Fletcher's work has been described as "tangled webs, a palette that moves between the intense colors of the Fauves and Matisse and the more muted colors of the Abstract Expressionists…" Fletcher received his BFA in Printmaking and Painting from Frostburg State University in Maryland in 2009 before coming to Radford University to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree.
The Radford University Art Museum at the Covington Center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. For more information, call (540) 831-5754.
