    Melissa Stallard’s work examines the cultural landscape throughout the Southeastern and Midwestern parts of the United States. Her work has been exhibited nationally including solo exhibitions and as part of the Compé 13: International Photography Exhibition at Project Basho in Philadelphia. Most recently, her work has been featured online in The Oxford American’s "Eyes on The South" and as part of FotoFilmic’s Artist Feature. Stallard is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the photography program at the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art at The University of Akron. Gallery closed between noon and 1 p.m.

    “Mauvais Sang,” also made by Leos Carax, is set in Paris. It is the romance of a card sharp with the girlfriend of his gangster partner; the most dramatic scene is the parachute jump with the lovers tethered together (performed by the actors themselves).
