Radford University Appoints Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Assessment

Assistant Vice Provost Ebenezer Kolajo

Radford University has appointed Ebenezer Kolajo to the position of assistant vice provost for academic assessment. He will begin work on Jan. 7, 2013.

"I'm extremely pleased to welcome Dr. Kolajo to the Office of the Provost," RU Provost Sam Minner said. "He brings with him a depth of experience, knowledge and understanding that will well serve our office and all of Radford University. Dr. Kolajo will lead our efforts to effectively and efficiently assess our academic programs. He will join Ms. Bethany Bodo on our academic assessment team."

Kolajo has more than 20 years of experience in higher education as an administrator and educator. Before joining Radford, he had served since 2008 as director of institutional research and planning at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton.

At West Georgia, Kolajo worked with university administrators toward maintaining a data-driven environment for planning and decision making while also providing support for institutional assessment to ensure effective performance and public accountability.

Kolajo served previously as director of institutional research at Cecil College in North East, Md. He also served as rector of Madzivhandila College of Agriculture in South Africa, where he assisted in revamping academic curricula and in developing a strategic plan for the institution.

Kolajo's additional experience in South Africa included teaching economics, research methods and statistics courses at the University of Maiduguri in Nigeria, the University of Zimbabwe and Limpopo University (formerly University of the North).

Kolajo earned a Ph.D. in applied economics and a Master of Science in agricultural economics from Auburn University; a Master of Business Administration in management from Georgia State University; and a Bachelor of Science in agriculture from Tuskegee University.
