I am a sonographer with special interest in Point-of-Care Ultrasound, educating the
students to perform bedside ultrasound. My desire is to educate the students to best
use ultrasound at the bedside to help them diagnose to expedite the course of treatment.
I started my education in Radiologic Technology at Duke University, then attended
Radford University and The George Washington University. I joined the PA Program
as Adjunct Faculty in 2020.
My diverse background in ultrasound includes abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Adult Echocardiography.
Additionally, I have experience in Cath Lab and the Angio suite within the hospital
setting and in the commercial ultrasound world.
My hobbies and interests include my grandchildren, quilting, cooking, camping and
kayaking the New River in the New River Valley. Relaxing at the beach and visiting
National and State Parks are favorite travel destinations.
