Earn a B.A. or B.S. in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism from Radford University and embark on a rewarding career. Our undergraduate program is the first accredited program by the Council for Parks, Recreation, Tourism, and Related Professions (COAPRT) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. RCPT majors can apply for exclusive scholarships, receive travel funding for professional conferences and gain valuable certifications through their coursework.

RU ABLE

Recreation, Parks and Tourism students can become key leaders in our Adventure Based Learning Experience (RU ABLE), guiding campus and community groups on outdoor adventures. Through hands-on involvement and an in-house certification process, students can achieve Student Leader Facilitator status, gaining valuable skills and real-world experience.

Our proximity to the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia’s Civil War Trail, New River Trail State Park and Crooked Road Music Trail offers unmatched recreational opportunities.
