When it comes to getting involved and helping others, Yajuwamungu Bora, a junior at Radford University, has set an example as a role model through his work engaging and uplifting his peers.

Bora, a political science major from Roanoke, Virginia, wasn't sure how to get involved when he initially came to Radford, but he quickly found his path after joining student organizations at the university Club Fair during his freshman year.

A member of Model United Nations at Radford University, Bora has traveled with the Radford team to present solutions to global issues at conferences in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia.

In addition to taking part in campus organizations and volunteering, Bora enjoys creating music at the studios on campus.

Bora has no plans to slow down and is interested in diplomacy as a potential career. He knows he wants to create positive social change through political ambassadorship and plans to attend law school after graduation.

What motivates Bora to succeed? A passion for helping others and a positive attitude guide his day-to-day work.

“Everywhere there must be challenges; you cannot improve without challenges or experience,” Bora said. “It makes me want to work hard. Just try to keep your head up, work hard and get better from it.”
