Radford University’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion is hosting its 13th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025.

During their lifetimes, most people will work in one profession. Some will have two different kinds of jobs. Frank Fleming, a student in the physician assistant (PA) program at Radford University at Carilion (RUC) in Roanoke, is preparing for this third.

Thanks to Radford University, Michael Ziegenfus is ready for what’s next.

Whether in the classroom or courtside, Owens – a Davis College double-major and student athletics manager – has made the most of her time at Radford. "Every opportunity given to me, I take it and run with it," she recently said.

For the past year and a half, senior history major C.J. Garland has learned firsthand what it’s like to grasp and preserve important moments from the past.

McKenzie Perkins always knew she wanted to work in healthcare. She was in her junior year at another college, completing a pre-med program, but wasn't sure what she would do with that degree once she graduated. Then, she discovered how much she liked nursing.

The Radford University Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly meetings on Dec. 5-6, 2024.
